The best Prime Day espresso machine deals are some of our favorites because they include a lot of the actual best espresso machines (at least the best espresso makers under $1000).

Our rundown of the home barista equipment includes machines from the likes of Breville and De’longhi, coffee grinders from KitchenAid, and Nespresso coffee pod machines which, even though they don’t make espresso per se, came pretty close considering you don’t have to actually put any effort into the process. Read on for what we think are the best Amazon deals on espresso makers and espresso gear.

But now, on with the October Prime Day deals.

Breville Infuser

Even though Breville has come out with newer models since the infuser first showed up, it's still one of our favorite machines. It doesn't come with a built-in grinder, but that's actually OK because it means you can use one that's nicer than the grinders that typically come built into high-end espresso makers. We loved our infuser for years for espresso shots and cappuccinos and at 20% off, you will too.

Breville Barista Express Impress

If you want to make good espresso but you want a little hand holding, Breville's Barista Express Impress is the best espresso machine you can get. We've tested it extensively and the smart grinding and tamping system makes sure you get exactly the right amount of coffee tamped at exactly the right pressure. You can of course customize as you'd like, but the trial and error is taken care of for you.

De'Longhi La Specialista Arte

If you don't want quite as much tech as the Express Impress offers, De'Longhi's semi-automatic espresso maker with built-in burr grinder is a solid choice. You have to tamp the coffee grounds yourself, but hey, that's all part of the learning process. One thing to know about De'Longhi machines: They have slightly differently shaped brew baskets, so you need to use all their gear to make sure it's all compatible.

DEAL: De'Longhi La Specialista Arte Pump Espresso Machine

If we asked you to imagine an espresso maker you’d probably picture a semi-auto machine. These are the coffee machines that use a long-handled portafilter, which you load up with coffee grounds yourself. Some offer the option to automatically brew a shot, some require you to both start and stop the process. They also include separate steam wands and milk jugs for your flat whites and the like. Breville makes a lot of machines we like and it seems like almost the entire line is on sale for Prime Day, but there are some other good machines too, like the De’longhi La Specialista Arte

De'Longhi Magnifica EVO With LatteCrema System

If all that grinding and tamping seems like a bit much for you but you still want your morning latte think about a fully automatic espresso maker. De'Longhi's Magnifica EVO gives you six different drink options, which should be plenty for most people and considering it takes nothing from you except a single button push, it does a really nice job.

Miele CM5300 Coffee System

Miele makes beautiful equipment (even their vacuums have a certain modern nobility to them) and their automatic coffee maker is no exception. Of course, none of that would matter if it didn't also make solid coffee and espresso drinks. Lucky for all of us it does and it's more than 40% off right now.

KitchenAid Burr Grinder

In the past KitchenAid's burr grinder has been our top pick for an espresso grinder. It may have gotten bumped when Fellow came out with their new Opus grinder, but it's still a solid choice and costs less than $200. It's also quite versatile if you like to brew other kinds of coffee. You can stick a portafilter directly under the grinder or you can grind into the included container for things like cold brew or pour-over.

Espro Espresso Tamper

Chances are, the tamper that comes with your espresso maker is going to be…not great. Often they're lightweight and kind of flimsy. If you're serious about espresso you should pick up a heavy duty one, preferably that's also spring loaded to ensure you tamp with the right pressure. That's the case with this Espro tamper, which is available in sizes that are compatible with Breville machines (that's the 53mm) or more professional-style machines (that's the 58mm size).

Nespresso machines

We’re including Nespresso machines in here because we think they’re a good solution for people who want to drink espresso (or something like it), but want neither the work of a semi-auto machine nor the price tag of a fully automatic one. Nespresso's single serve set up can do single shots, double shots, ristretto shots, and, with the help of its Aerocinno milk frother, a number of other drinks as well.
