During Amazon Prime Day 2023, we’ve kept our eyes peeled on Amazon’s kitchen deals page, refreshing thousands of times to find the sales that were actually worth shopping for. And we’ve spotted deals to get excited about—blender discounts, deals on mixers, and reasons to seriously consider upgrading your coffee maker.
But as the sales begin to wind down, let’s talk about what you bought. We looked behind the curtain at what Epicurious readers purchased most on Amazon over the course of the 48-hour sale so far. There are some great picks here—and perhaps some things you might want to pick up today—because some of them are still on sale. We don’t know how long these sales will continue to last, so we suggest grabbing them as quickly as possible. Some themes we noticed: baking tools, powerhouse small appliances, and cleaning tools.
Knife sharpening tools
This sharpener comes with a nifty foldable instruction manual with descriptive instructions on what each setting does, how many times to run your knife’s edge through each slot depending on the state of the blade, and additional tips and tricks—something a beginner will find useful. The price? Well, it’s hard to beat.

Air fryers, multi-ovens, and Instant Pots that air-fry
The Vortex Plus was the top performing budget-friendly air fryer in our tests. Its shallow, square-shaped basket is ideal for foods that need to be arranged in a single layer, like crispy chicken cutlets.

Air-frying might be a fad. But convection toaster ovens? Convection toaster ovens are for life. Take advantage of this lingering deal on a countertop oven that can do way more than just toast (we’re talking dehydrate, steam, and more).
If you thought the era of the Instant Pot is over, you thought wrong. Epi readers kept buying the do-everything multi-cooker at a discount this year. Use your Instant Pot to make quick work of beans, grains, and even those ribs you plan to throw on the grill at the last minute. The most popular model this year is the Duo Crisp, which adds air frying to its long list of cooking features.
Portable induction burner
Epi staffer Emily Johnson recently bought an induction burner to have an extra cooking surface—and a better cooking surface than the bad electric stove in her rental apartment. And it looks like a lot of Epi readers snagged one too. If you have a kitchen remodel in your future—or you just need an extra burner for the holidays, grab this deal.
Cookware
Cookbook author Hsiao-Ching Chou tested a wide lineup of woks for our wok review. With its rivetless design, this one really impressed.
All-Clad is one of our favorite cookware brands, so it makes sense that they make some of our favorite nonstick pans. In signature All-Clad fashion, they heat evenly—and retain that heat. And their nonstick coating is very effective. You'll turn out the scrambled eggs and omelets of your dreams on these puppies.
What more can we say? We love this sheet pan so much. It won our product review, and our editors use it in their home kitchens nearly every day. If you need a few more sheet pans for roasting vegetables, making cookies, and all the other things a sheet pan does, these are worth purchasing, even at full price.

Blenders and Juicers
This is our all-time favorite blender; it wins our product test year after year. You can read our full roundup of Vitamix deals available for Amazon Prime Day 2023. But trust us—and your fellow Epi readers—this is the best blender of all time.

The Juice Fountain Plus came out on top of our blender product test for a few reasons: It features a wide feed chute, meaning you can push whole apples or citrus fruits through and don’t have to cut your fruits and vegetables before juicing. It also has easy-to-use power settings, allowing you to be specific about juicing soft produce on low speeds and dense vegetables on high. Plus, it was easy to clean (just keep in mind that easy is a relative term when it comes to talking about juicers).

If you’re looking for a budget blender to try your hand at juicing in small amounts, the Ninja Never Clog Cold Press Juicer is an excellent one to go for—and Epi readers did go for it. We wouldn’t recommend going for any of the centrifugal juicers that are cheaper than this because they’re hard to clean and won’t yield smooth-textured results.
Cleaning
Every year, Epi readers buy these basic kitchen towels in droves, and it totally makes sense. First, you can never have enough kitchen towels. Second, if you use them to death like we do, they’ll need to be refreshed every once in a while. This 15-pack will keep you going at least until the next Amazon Prime Day.
These dishcloths have fun fruit patterns—and are extra absorbent. Think of them as a sort of sponge/cloth hybrid: They’re made of a combination of cellulose and cotton. Grab them in cherry, watermelon, and, our favorite, lemon, below.
My colleague Emily Farris wrote a terrifying story that still keeps me up at night about the dangers of wire grill brushes. Read it at your own risk, or skip the agony and just go ahead and buy this nylon grill brush like your fellow Epi readers did.
Coffee and Espresso Makers
In the most recent update to our drip coffee maker review, we really focused on finding a good machine under $100—and we did find in this Braun machine. Readers took advantage of sales to make this winning no-nonsense coffee maker even more affordable this Prime Day. Braun’s Brewsense distinguished itself from competitors thanks to a few extra features, like the ability to brew both small and large pots of coffee, two brew strength settings, an auto shutoff if you remove the glass carafe, and three different settings for the warming plate.

The Oxo cold brewer (winner of our cold brew maker product test) features a smart design that’s different from other cold-brew coffee makers: A perforated lid controls the flow of water from a reservoir over the grounds. This means that the water can slowly work its way through the coffee before getting filtered into a glass carafe. It requires no mixing or shaking and yields a better cup than other designs.
Mop Vacuums
Within the past year, Epi staffers have really fallen in love with the concept of mop vacuums. They’re perfect for the kitchen, specifically, because they can handle both wet and dry spills. Mop up spilled cold brew! Vacuum spilled flour! Vacuum away a mess of coffee grounds, then polish and sanitize your floor using the mop feature. The Tineco is a favorite of ours—and yours.
